| A tall granite hill (11kms from Magadi) formed by the union of two high peaks (4,024 feet) called locally the Karigudda (black hill) and the Billigudda (white hill), a wonderful spot with a chain of hill forts. The hill was full of bamboos and other trees that constituted a not so easily surmountable barricade for the troops attacking it. There are no steps to reach the hilltop. Billibetta is a steep grey plain rock and a footpath leads to the top of this hill. At the top there is an open stone pavilion housing a Basava image on a rock which is engraved in an Anjaneya temple. |

Day 1: Departure from Bangalore (2hr 30 min drive), Enjoy the Breakfast with beautiful sights of vast fields on both the sides. Arrive at "Big Banyan Tree" and spend some time exploring the world’s widest spread Banyan Tree, then drive down to "Manchinbale Dam" and spend some time enjoying and exploring the dam. Enjoy the Lunch at the dam and the drive back to “Savandurga”. Enjoy putting up the tent and the wild experience of night trek and cave exploration. |
Day 2: Early Breakfast and then help in wrapping up of the camp. Get into the climbing spirit with the climb to the Granite Hillock, which has five forts on its top and at an altitude of 1,350ft.Reach the top to find a Nandi (Bull) stone and descend down for Lunch. Relax and energize for Rappelling. High Tea and Snacks in the evening. Departure for Bangalore, Trip Ends |
